Project #4 Title - Exquisite Corpse

Exquisite Corpse

My original corpse was a robot, Mr.TV. Originally born as a TV during the 1930s, he then came alive with a mind of his own in the 1950s, after being unused. He was found by a scientist who turner him into a semi-human TV, giving him the body of an avocado, and robot parts for his limbs. During other experiments conducted by the scientist, Mr.TV got lost into the space continuum. During his journey throughout time and space, he exchanged body parts with an alien and a pink fox.

Design Process & Sketches

The final result of Exquisite Corpse is a robot with the head of an alien, the body of a fox, and its original robot limbs and mechanical parts. To provide the sketch with some visuals about the character's background story, I added some images. The image of the space in the background shows where its parts got mixed. I added the image of the earth to show the initial part of Mr.TV's story and to show where he desires to come back. More details about Mr.Robot story below in the design process section. Every time the mouse is pressed, the earrings and its belly light up, in an attempt to change his position in the time and space.

Reflection

I found this assignment to be very fun, especially because of the unexpected final result. Exchanging parts with Charlotte and Yu has also been a fun part of the process. The use of functions, arguments, and parameters definitely helps along the process to locate shapes and details about the sketch.
